Is the estimate visit really free?
Yes. The on-site visit is free with no obligation, and the feasibility budget range we send afterward comes at no cost either.
You only invest money if you decide to move into the design phase, where a design fee applies. Nothing before that point costs you anything.
What is a feasibility budget range?
It is a realistic cost range for the work you described, delivered in writing before you pay for design. We build it using a pricing model trained on our own completed projects, so the numbers are grounded in real history rather than a rough guess.
The goal is simple: to tell you early whether the scope you want aligns with your budget, so you can decide with confidence before going deeper.
Why is there a design fee?
Design is real work: layouts, 3D concepts, material selections, and the detailed documentation that makes an accurate quote possible. The fee typically runs $500 to $7,500, about $4,250 on average, depending on the scope.
The finished designs are yours to keep. If you already have architectural plans, we are glad to work from them.
How involved will I be during the project?
You are most involved during design. We do not design your home for you - we guide you. Our team and trade partners help you weigh layouts, materials, and finishes, but every final decision is yours.
Once the build begins, your dedicated project manager keeps you updated and brings you any decisions that come up, so you stay informed without having to manage the trades yourself.
How do you protect my home and keep it clean?
We seal off active work areas with dust barriers, protect floors and finishes in the spaces we pass through, and clean up the jobsite at the end of each day.
The goal is to keep the rest of your home livable and to treat your space with the same respect we would want in our own.
What if costs change once the work starts?
Adding to the scope: the most common reason. Your range reflects the scope we discussed, so adding rooms, upgrades, or nicer finishes raises the cost to match - and we point that out early.
Existing conditions: once walls are open, we sometimes uncover hidden damage, outdated wiring or plumbing, or structural issues. That is why we recommend a 10% buffer above the quote - a smart safety net we make you aware of up front, so there are fewer surprises later.
What happens at the final walkthrough?
We walk the finished space together, note anything that needs a final touch-up, and complete those punch-list items to close the project out properly.
Then we hand off your 1-year workmanship warranty, so you are covered on the work after the crew leaves.
