Basement Finish in Avon

The Goal This couple recently retired into their forever home, and the basement was the last unfinished part of it. They wanted space to entertain, room for the grandkids, and a proper spot for their workout equipment.

What We Built We designed the full floor up front rather than finishing an open room and figuring out the rest later, so each space has a purpose. The entertainment area is sized for company, with a kitchenette and oversized island nearby so nobody has to run upstairs for food and drinks. A full bathroom with a custom tile shower means guests and grandkids have everything they need downstairs. The weight room got real lighting and its own dedicated space, and the furnace and water heater now live in a purpose-built mechanical room, out of sight but easy to service.

The Result Ten-plus trades sequenced through an occupied home over a single winter. Permitted, inspected, and delivered on budget in January 2026.
